MAPS RV Volunteer Convention ended Thursday night and people began pulling out heading home, to visit friends, or to a project.
It’s amazing how bare it looks around here after most of the RVs pulled out. We are waiting until tomorrow when we hope the weather will be a little better to head to Brandenburg, Kentucky to work on a church project.
Convention has been a great time of fun, fellowship and spiritual refreshing. We will miss all of the friend that we have met and new friend we have made knowing that we won’t see most of them for at least another year.
Can’t say too much about convention. Services have been inspiring, encouraging, and challenging. We were blessed by several great speakers.
Monday night was 50’s night. Many went all out to dress the part. These are just a few pictures of that evening. It was a very entertaining evening with lot of laugh and we were ministered to by a quartet from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
Tuesday was a free night and many of us got together for a pot luck dinner.
Afterwards sang hymn, singing many of the old songs that we grew up with but don’t hear much in church anymore. It was a great time of singing praises to our Lord.
Wednesday and Thursday night Alton Garrison who serves as the assistant general superintendent of the Assemblies of God was our speaker for the evening service. Not only is he a very good and challenging speaker but a very talented pianist.
Today we watched people pack up and move out. Marge got our laundry. We went out to lunch with some friends and just rested up from the week of late nights.
We are looking forward to our project in Brandenburg, KY. We will be working to finish the conversion of a Cinema into a church.
Pray for us as we travel and work.
“His Plans our Hands”
Glad you all had a great time, any time you can praise the Lord it’s got to be a time.
