Our first week at Springville Camp and Conference Center (SCCC)

We have completed our first week of work and what a week it has been.  We have done so many things it would be hard to list them all.  We have done cleaning, set up, a little plumbing, a little electrical, painting, did I say cleaning, even made beds, and helped in preparing and serving a meal for guests.  Here is a picture of Marge in action pressure washing some rugs.

One of our bigger project was the clearing of some trees and brush form a raised platform on the Royal Ranger side of the Camp.  This area was so overgrown that no one knew it was there.  Following are a few pictures of  the project.  We spent one afternoon working here. The only problem is that I got into a little poison ivy. I guess it will stop itching in a few of days.

No pictures, but it wasn’t all work.  Last Saturday with went to a local craft festival called Homestead Hollow.  One night I went fishing in the lake and caught a few small bass and one evening we went riding on a four wheeler. We’ve enjoyed our first week here and the people we have worked with have been nothing but great.  A day doesn’t go by that the camp staff doesn’t  tell us how thankful and grateful they are that we are here.  It is a joy working with them and the two other RV couples who are here.
Thanks for stopping by and y’all have a great week.
